L3 Writting Reflection

Even though I was not very good at writing an essay , I've learned a lot from this class. I learned to think about certain object and express my thoughts in a correct form of writing. However, I should practice more to use better English and grammer in my essays.

I've learned writing few types of essays. Such as compare and contrast essays(4paragraph), persuasive essays(5 paragraph) and writing an formal letter. I also realized that as many essays I write it will improve my writing skills.

This class was so much of fun and meaningful for me. I feel sad that this time will not come back. I want to say a thank you to Ms Aida!

Learnig outside school is useful than learning in inside class.

When we think of the word education the first thing which comes to our mind is related to knowledge; for instance, teaching people various subjects or being taught in school. This form of education does help our life to be more successful. On the other hand, there are many types of education we learn through our life by experiencing outside of the school. In my opinion, I believe that not only education from school but also outside education makes our lives successful. Three reasons to support my point are: experiences, you can gain your time for self-development, and high quality of learning. In this essay , I would like to explain and support why education from outside class make people successful.

Firstly, you can have a wide range of experience. We accumulate our knowledge in class but you may not have chance to use it in our realities.Student will undertake real task to give them an idea of the work carried out by the employer.For example, they will gain an understanding of how the company is organised and run. Therefore, sudents will be able to understand and adjust to the different changes that might occur in the working world. This trains them to be more flexible in their thinking and strategies in order to tackle any problem that they might face in the society.

Secondly, one can persue their interrest in a particular subject such as art. Instead of spending time in subject like math, science, and history one can focus on his/her favourite subject. One can spend time doing research and development on comming up with better art pieces or even improve his/her skills to perfection. Furthermore, one can engage in overseas exchange programme and learn more from each other's strength and weakness and bring his/her knowledge in that particular subject to the next level.

Lastly, one can be more independent when gaining knowledge outside world. For young people with learning difficulties, learning outside the classroom will increase opportunities for interaction with people in the society. This helps to develop independence and social skills which will help them to be more engage with the outside world. By exposing the students to the society they will be force to be more independent in their thinking as well as their way of doing things. This will encourage them to be independent in their learning and less reliant on the teacher.

To put in a nutshell, that one can benefit from learning outside school in various form of ways. All of the points metioned above are important in building a student's character and mentality in his/her growing years. Such as wide range of experiences, gaining time for self-developmend and independent learning. To finish with I would say that learning outside school give us unlimitted oppurtunities in education.

Against the death penalty

Every single human being has the right to live. Capital punishment is completely against this truth statement. Death penalty means DEATH, killing, exterminating. If murderers are intenced to die by means of a killing, how different are we from them? In this essay I will state that capital punishment is not the way to reinforce the law. We believe this because killing is too easy for murderers, we don’t give criminal the chance to make their life different and if we continue killing we will exterminate planet.

Firstly, killing is too easy. Murderers should suffer and has to pay with ones' life. If we kill murderer in the same way they will not feel enough about the agony of death . Moreover, they should realize how valuable the life is for each person through living in jail than just death penalty.


Secondly, we should give murderer a chance to make their life different. It is not always true to say that it is murderer’s fault. For example it could be because of the relatives or illness. We can give them opportunity to recover and give them a right road.
Such as giving them an advice or medicine to recover. Every person has possibility to grow up.


Lastly, if we continue killing murderers, our planet shall be exterminated. I believe that we can’t exterminate the planet because planet is made for the creatures to live and live upon each others. We should develop our countries in better way, so human beings can live better life and high standard of living, so we should stop killing murderers.


In conclusion, every human being has right to live and every human can’t infringe on human rights. Death penalty are made just to reduce the crimes and doesn’t give human a chance. Even though some countries has death penalty a case of murder occur.

Mother and I

On the 24th of May a very important person was born. Who? my mother. I was foolish to understand love. What's true love? and there was a person who made me to understand unconditional love. She is the one person who leads my life. I am very greatful she gave my life. She has been my bestfriend since I was born, and although we have our disagreements, we are very close. In this essay I would like to compare and contrast between me and my bestfriend.


To begin with, as my mother is my mother, we both have common in with each other. Firstly, we look alike much. My eyes and nose resembles her that many people think we are sisters. What is more, me and my mother likes to do the same thing. We both like a dog. We like to talk about dog and we always value our pet "Ddak ji" very much. We like to be eachother and talk about our normal days. Therefore, my mother is the one who gives advices next to me and can understand me the most.


Still, there are many differences between us. Firstly, we have had different grown up enviroments. My mother has three sisters and she is the third from her family. On the contrary, I am the only child. Seconldy, we have different cloth styles. As my mom is older than me she prefers to wear decent and dark colours of clothes. However, I more likely to wear brighter or young stlyes of clothes than my mother. Again, we have opposite personality. I usually act after when I think enough; I consider the consequence of my act first. However, in case of my mother she acts first which means she is brave.


As a result, in this essay you could notice that including me and my mother, every person would have similarities and differences between their mother and themselves. For instance, appearance and hobbies in similarities and differnces in grown up enviroments, cloth styles and personalities. However I would like to say that mothers are role model to every children. As well as others, for me, she is a perfect role model who I love most in the world.

High heels vs flats

Shoes has been worn by people since old days. People wore shoes to protect their feet from getting hurt. Nowadays, as we can see, people still wear shoes. Shoes are something necessary in our life, but not only to protect our feet, there are more purposes such as comforts and beauty . In this essay , I will be going to compare and contrast the two types of shoes which are high heels and flats.

Shoes provides more than one function in life, especially for women. Shoes help people to look more fationable. It is one of the item of the fashion. There is a word which says that shoes are the best and finals in the fashion. Moreover, high heels and flats are both something we normally wear. They protect our feets from the ground and dirt.

First, high heels are woman's best friends and most of all woman's desires. They make us look taller, by few centimeters to 13cm. High heels are worn by many types of people, models, students, career women, and etc. This is because they help women to be sexier and more women. In the contrast, low heels are worn by everyone. They are very comfortable, and easy to wear. You can run, dance and be more active. In addition, you can get less tired from walking.

In conclusion, both heels and flats are worn by people for many advantages. Such as comforts and fashion .Therefore, people have their own right to choose their shoes according to their situation. In my personal thoughts, I beilive that heels could be more attractive for woman.

Bugerking vs MC Donalds

Nowadays instant food is very common in our lives as many people are busy and stressed. One of the most famous fast food restaurants among people are Mc Donalds and Burgerking. Which one will you choose? The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast between Burgerking and Mc Donalds.

First, it is fact that Bugerking and Mc Donalds are both fast food restaurant that focus on burger meals. Moreover, they are both very cheap. Many students can afford to buy a burger, a slide dish and a drink for less than ten Singapore dollars. Besides, they are both international so that you can easily find in many countries all over the world.

Here are the main differences between Mc Donalds and BurgerKing. The first difference is about their opening hours, Mc Donalds is open 24 hours while Burgerking has a normal office hours timetable. Another difference is that Mc Donalds not only serve burger but also has a new chain call Mc cafe. These coffee places attract other customers such as businessmen that need a more relaxed place to meet up with clients. The last difference we can think about is menu. Mc Donalds has more choices than BK such as Mc flurry. etc.

To sum up, there are both advantages and disadvantages between Bugerking and Mc Donalds. Therefore, you can choose the one that attracts you more. Keep in mind that wherever you decide to eat you will enjoy it!
